10 Million Users! Thank You ☺️

To be honest, when we wrote the 5 million user post, we ended it with "here's to the next 5 million" because that's what our investors want to hear. But still, we didn't actually expect to be writing this one so soon.

But here we are. 10 million of you.

Getting our first hundred users involved donuts at the Duke freshman dining hall and taping flyers inside bathroom stalls. Getting the last hundred took roughly 4.5 minutes. Somewhere between those two numbers, this stopped being a dorm-room side project and became something we still can't fully wrap our heads around.

The Numbers Keep Climbing

At 5 million users, we shared some stats that felt wild at the time. They've stopped being wild and started being absurd:

From 5M to 10M

The biggest change, and the one that we are most excited for, is the launch of the new "Learn Mode" which turns anything from as little as a few simple words into a structured course.

What hasn't changed, though, is our mission. Studying is tedious in ways it doesn't need to be, and we want to fix that while keeping Turbo simple and clutter-free. That promise stands at 10 million just like it did at 100 users.

Thank you for trusting us with your education. Thank you for the bug reports, the feature requests, the reviews, and the messages in our comment sections (keep them coming) that end up in our company group chat. And thank you to the person who used Turbo to help pass a class they'd failed twice. You know who you are, and your message is framed in our office.

We never could have imagined how this would turn out with 10 million of you. Here's to what's next 🚀
